The ones I spend the most time with don’t always speak with words. They greet me each morning, follow me around the yard, make me laugh, and bring comfort on difficult days.
Cocky, Wywy, Noni, Georgie, Stormy, Pepi, The Girls, and the Duckies are more than animals—they are family. They remind me to slow down, enjoy the little things, and appreciate the beauty of each day.

As you wander through our peaceful property, keep your eyes open and your explorer spirit ready. Around every corner you may find a new animal friend, a fun challenge, an interesting fact, or even a surprise waiting just for you.

From Daisy the Deer and Bunny Rabbit to Foxy, Ziggy, Lulu, Tommy, Kinda and many more, each trail stop has its own unique adventure.
Children can collect their Explorer Checklist, complete the trail, and earn their Feather & Fern Explorer Certificate.
And don’t forget to keep watch for the mysterious Golden Cocky hiding somewhere along the trail!

Like a willow tree, I have weathered many storms, yet I continue to grow. I am an animal lover, a dreamer, a creator, and a believer in second chances. My greatest happiness comes from caring for the creatures around me, creating beautiful things, and sharing the peace and magic of Feather & Fern with others. Every sunrise brings a new opportunity to begin again.
Every morning at Feather & Fern brings a different masterpiece. As the sun rises over Glenwood, the sky transforms into soft shades of gold, pink, orange and blue. The birds begin to sing, the ducks start their morning adventures, and the peaceful countryside slowly awakens.
Whether you’re enjoying a coffee beside your caravan, listening to Cocky greet the day, or simply soaking in the quiet beauty of nature, the morning skies here remind us to slow down and appreciate life’s simple moments.

The past year has been one of the biggest and most challenging years of my life.
At Feather & Fern, I have spent countless hours clearing land, improving campsites, caring for animals, planting gardens, and creating a peaceful space where people can enjoy nature and the simple pleasures of country life.
There have been many ups and downs along the way. Like many dreams, building Feather & Fern has required hard work, determination, and a belief that something beautiful can grow from difficult times.
Over the past year I have added camping areas, improved access around the property, worked on accommodation options, and continued caring for the wonderful animals that call Feather & Fern home. The property is constantly evolving, with new projects always underway.
One of my favourite parts of life here is sharing the experience with my rescue birds, ducks, chickens, cat, and the many native birds and wildlife that visit daily. Their personalities bring joy and laughter every day.
As I look back on the past year, I feel proud of how far Feather & Fern has come. There is still much to do, but every small improvement brings me closer to creating the peaceful country retreat I have envisioned.

What started as a dream has slowly grown into a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, wildlife, and plenty of feathered friends. Nestled on 3 acres, Feather & Fern is a place where travellers can slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the simple things in life.
Our property is home to a colourful family of animals including Cocky the cockatoo, Wywy the cheeky corella, Noni and Georgie the galahs, Stormy the cockatiel, Pepi the black cat, our ducks, chickens, and many native visitors who call Glenwood home.
Guests can relax under the stars, enjoy the sounds of nature, watch wildlife around the dam, and experience country hospitality in a peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle.
I’ve often wondered whether people find comfort through religion, spirituality, nature, kindness, or simply quiet moments alone. Living here at Feather & Fern surrounded by animals, stars, and peaceful country nights has made me reflect on what truly connects us.
