Perception

The sky wore colours of burning flame,
A canvas glowing wild and bright.
Yet no fire danced among the trees,
Only clouds catching the fading light.

From a distance, danger seemed near,
A warning painted across the air.
But look again with patient eyes,
And a different truth was waiting there.

How often do we judge too soon,
Believing only what we first see?
A blaze to one, a sunset to another,
Two stories from the same reality.

Perception is a curious thing,
A mirror shaped by heart and mind.
For sometimes what appears as fire
Is simply beauty, redefined.

At Feather & Fern, the sky reminds us that not everything is as it first appears. Sometimes the most beautiful lessons come from looking a little deeper. 🌿✨
